lines, color and contrast are main elements and principles in this piece. The lines pronounce the shapes in the piece and makes the structure of the mass. Color is vibrant and makes the feeling and message announced. The bright white contrast against the luminous blues and browns that make this piece look like a starry night.

Color, alignment and balance are main factors in this piece. Flora and fauna decorate the piece with color as well as some birds. The spectrum of color is significant. Alignment is how the piece is mirrored in the center and how it reflects on the other side. Balance is taken to a steep degree because the artist took the space between objects and the saturation of color in an equilibrium.

Contrast, texture and mass are the major components in this particular piece. The whites and blacks are very clear and distinct from each other, giving the illusion of night. Texture is found on the white, where blotches of paint collect. There is also texture to the lake, the smoothness distinct from the ragged snow. Mass is everywhere, the mountains mass is very pronounced. The snow on the plants have mass.
